COALITION FOR DISASTER RESILIENT INFRASTRUCTURE

News

The Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) is a dynamic global partnership comprising 31 countries and 8 organizations, including national governments, UN agencies, private sectors, and more. Launched by India’s Prime Minister at the UN Climate Action Summit in September 2019, CDRI’s mission is to bolster the resilience of infrastructure to climate and disaster risks, promoting sustainable development.
Based in New Delhi, the CDRI Secretariat serves as a hub for knowledge, technology, and capacity development. For India, CDRI holds immense significance, positioning the nation as a leader in climate action and disaster resilience. It synergizes disaster risk reduction, SDGs, and climate agreements, fostering sustainable and inclusive growth. CDRI complements the International Solar Alliance (ISA) and extends India’s support for resilient infrastructure worldwide, opening doors for Indian firms to expand their services globally.
