Why in news?

Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan (MSDE, MoE), released “Annual Capacity Building Plan (ACBP) “, “Know Your Ministry Induction Module” of MSDE and “Training Module for Directors” of Department of Higher Education, MoE. All these missions launched under Mission Karmayogi.

What is Mission Karmayogi?

 It was launched in 2020 with the objective of enhancing governance through Civil Service Capacity Building. It aims  “comprehensive  reform  of  the  capacity  building  apparatus at  individual, institutional and process levels for efficient public service delivery”.

It aims to prepare civil service officers for the future by making them more “creative, constructive, imaginative, innovative, proactive, professional, progressive, energetic, enabling, transparent and technology-enabled.

Ministry – launched by Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. The Department of Personnel and Training will manage the entire programme.

The iGOT-Karmayogi platform, short for Integrated Govt. Online Training on the Ministry of HRD’s DIKSHA platform, serves as a pivotal tool for capacity building within the government.
