VAKATAKAS(250-500)
They replaced the Satavahannas in Maharashtra (They had to contend with Abiras before establishing their kingdom)
Chandragupta II’s daughter Prabhavati Gupta was married to a Vakataka ruler
They were later succeeded by Kalachuris of Mahismati in 550 AD
KADAMBAS OF BANAVASI (345-540s)
Succeede Satavahannas and Chetus in norther Karnataka
The dynasty was established by Mayursharman in 345.
The kingdom came to an when they were defeated by Chalukyas
Capital: Banavasi
WESTERN GANGAS (350-550)
Ruled over southern Karnataka which was called Gangavadi.
Capital: Kolar then Mysore
Later became feudatories of Chalukyas of Badami.
VISHNUKUNDIN (420-600s)
Succeded Ikshvakus (who had succeded Satavahanas) in the Andhra Telangana region
The kingdom came to an end when Pulikeshin II defeated them and appointed his brother as the governor of the kingdom who later became Eastern Gangas
