• Selection Process (Expected): Based on previous RRB recruitment patterns, the selection process for the Technician posts is expected to be a multi-stage process designed to test the candidate’s knowledge and skills thoroughly. The likely stages are:

1. First Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-1):This is generally a common screening test for all posts. It typically covers Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness on Current Affairs.
2. Second Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2):Candidates who qualify CBT-1 will be eligible for CBT-2. This stage usually has two parts:
   • Part A:This part is scoring and its marks are considered for the merit list. It covers subjects like Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Basic Science, and Engineering.
   • Part B:This part is qualifying in nature and consists of questions from the relevant trade of the candidate.
3. Document Verification (DV):Candidates who are shortlisted based on their performance in CBT-2 (Part A) will be called for Document Verification. Here, all original documents related to educational qualification, age, and category are verified.
4. Medical Examination:Finally, candidates who clear the DV round will have to undergo a medical fitness test conducted by the Railway Administration to ensure they meet the required medical standards for the post. The medical standard for Technician Gr. I Signal is B-1, and for Gr. III, it will be detailed in the CEN.
